The thing about Bondi is that there’s always so much to do. Whether you’re a bit of a sophisti-cat or more of the carefree wild child, it’s impossible to get bored in this sunny Eastern Suburbs neighbourhood. Here, we take a look at a typical ‘Day in the Life of’ our Bondi Hall St girl…she’s all about the good vibes!
7.30am: What better way to start the day than with a heady dose of ocean air? Grab your bicycle and your Hall St visor before freewheeling it off to the famous Bondi Beach promenade. Stretching the full length of the beach, the 1km pathway offers stunning views of the ocean and is also home to the famous Bondi Graffiti Wall (the inspiration behind our hand-drawn Bondi Peak visor linings). Check out the ever-changing artworks from local talents, and don’t forget to upload a few snaps to your Insta account!
8.00am: There’s nothing quite like losing yourself in a good book over a cup of your favourite coffee, which is exactly why Gertrude and Alice is our perfect post-exercise caffeine stop! The quirky book-store-cum-café is filled to bursting with books both new and old so it’s worth spending some time digging around for hidden treasures. Coffee with a side of old-school charm? We’ll take it!
10.00am: With the morning well underway, it’s time to meet the crew for brunch and a gossip! Hall St favourite Bondi Hardware has recently expanded it’s offering to include a delicious morning menu, so grab a pew outside and treat yourself to some tasty, guilt-free treats – we can’t go past their Soul Bowl with avocado, quinoa, dried tomato, baby corn, seeds, snow peas, poached eggs and house-cured salmon. YUM!
12.00pm: On your way home to freshen up, make a pit stop at Commune. This gorgeous little store specialises in handmade, fair-trade sustainable products, guaranteed to brighten up any day! Treat yourself to a pretty vase from their collection and then pop by Lemon Tree Grocer for some flowers to fill it with.
3.00pm: Hair in need of a refresh? Look no further than Frankie’s, a funky little salon with a homely, known-you-all-my-life kind of vibe. Not only do they listen to what you ask for, they do it too! Next, treat yourself to a spot of window-shopping at the boutiques along Gould Street, and maybe even a little bit of eye-candy gazing at surf-store Sunburnt Mess. Hey, it would be a shame to waste that hot new hair, after all…
5.00pm: All this exercising, socialising and hot-ifying is tiring work! Reenergise yourself with a cold-pressed juice from Orchard St Dispensary, an all-in-one herbal dispensary, cold-pressed juice shop, naturopathic clinic and organic lifestyle store. Don’t leave without picking up a leaflet on their iconic juice cleanses – you might need it after tonight’s revelries!
8.00pm: Gather the girls and get set for a wild night ahead…but first, food! Grab a table at China Diner, a fun, pan-Asian street food eatery that’s perfect for groups. Sister to the more formal China Lane and China Doll, China Diner is all about the share menu…and that goes for their cocktails too! Try the China Rose with Lillet Rose, Plymouth Sloe Gin, plum jam, lemon and shiso to really get the party started…
10.30pm: Time for the bar crawl to begin! The Hall St girl is always up for an explore, but she has a firm few favourite drinking spots too! Try Neighbourhood for it’s great atmosphere, cute outdoor terrace and plentiful drinks list before scooting on down to Bondi Beach Public Bar. A new one on the scene, their cocktails are second to none, and not bad value either. What’s more, they’re open til 1am!
