One of the best things about Bondi Beach? The countless different ways there are to spend a day. From gorgeous cafes through to trendy boutiques and top-notch restaurants, not to mention one of the best beaches in the world, who wouldn’t fall in love with this beautiful Eastern Sydney suburb? Here, we take a look at a typical ‘Day in the Life of’ our Notts Ave girl…
7.30am: The sun is shining, the weather is sweet, and there’s no better way to start the day than the Bondi coastal walk. Quick shower, a slick of sun block, grab your Notts Ave visor and runners and you’re ready to go! The famous walk runs across the cliff tops all the way to Coogee, with breathtaking views of the coastline, parks, bays and rock pools from end to end. Don’t forget to take your phone with you – the photo opportunities are endless!
8.00am: No day can truly begin until you’ve had your coffee fix! Make a beeline for The Crabbe Hole, a cute little caffeine stop situated right at the start of the coastal walk on the pool deck of the iconic Bondi Icebergs. Grab your favourite coffee order (theirs are all double shots as standard – great news for all the coffeeheads out there!) and take a minute or two to soak up the view, before setting off along the track.
10.00am: Morning exercise done and time for a refuel! The Notts Ave gir’s favourite brunch stop has to be Rocker on Campbell Parade. Owned by the guys behind Bronte’s famous Three Blue Ducks, it’s the perfect spot to catch up with the girls over yummy food and even better coffee. Their avocado on rye with rocker pickles, lemon, sesame, buckwheat and poached eggs is out of this world, but for a real treat, Notts Ave girls can’t go past the Veuve Clicquot Saturday Brunch – two hours of bottomless VC plus snack and share plates? Say no more.
12.00pm: Treat yourself to a few rays and maybe even a quick post-brunch snooze by the pool at Icebergs, before catching up on your personal maintenance. Revamp your skin with a visit to The Facial Room and choose from a huge range of treatments including facials, facial waxing, make-up, eyelashes and brows, and injectables. The Notts Ave Girl loves their signature 1-hour Facial Room Facial.
2.00pm: Next, it’s onto Koda Cutters, Gould Street’s best-kept hair secret. This uber-cool salon is known for its relaxed colour work and balayage, perfect for beach-lovers. Not only that, it’s run by Diane Gorgievski, an editorial stylist who regularly does hair for Vogue, Elle and Russh photo shoots – so you know you’re in good hands!
4.00pm: Now you’re killing it in the looks department, it’s time to treat yourself to something to wear tonight! Notts Ave girls know a thing or two about shopping, and it doesn’t get much better than the awesome little boutiques on Gould Street. Flex the plastic at Tuchuzy, where the racks are packed full of designer threads from the likes of Alexander Wang, Bassike, Proenza Schouler and Rag & Bone to name a few. The splurge will be worth it!
8.00pm: Dinner at North Bondi Fish is a must for every Notts Ave girl. Make sure you request a table on the terrace for gorgeous sunset views, perfect over a bottle or three of rose! Owned by famed Sydney chef Matt Moran, the beach-chic restaurant on Ramsgate Avenue specialises in fresh, high-quality Australian and New Zealand seafood…and does a mean line in cocktails too!
10.30pm: The night is young, and the drinks are flowing! Head to the newly relocated Panama House in the Pacific Bondi complex and sip on their signature PH Margaritas, before hotfooting it to the upstairs cocktail bar at Icebergs to hang with the beautiful people. With views across the ocean, Icebergs pride themselves on having a drink to suit every occasion. But for the Notts Ave girl at this time of night there’s only one thing that will do. Did somebody say champagne…?
